Here are some suggestions for activities that will make your getaway on the Route des Vins unique.
Let’s eat!
Picnics are the perfect way to enjoy the countryside and the warm weather. You’ll be happy to know that most Brome-Missisquoi vineyards have picnic tables on their estates. All you have to do is stop by the region’s many different agritourism businesses to stock up on provisions and complete your lunch menu with a fine bottle of local wine.
You don’t have the time to assemble your own feast? No worries, several local businesses, including: Léon Courville, Vigneron, Domaine Jolivent, Gagliano Vineyard, the Château Saint-Agnès, Vignoble Bromont winery, the Domaine Girouard, the Vignoble l’Ardennais, the fine food grocery store Rumeur affamée de Dunham and the bakery La Mie Bretonne all offer complete baskets upon reservations. The Domaine des Côtes d’Ardoise,the Domaine du Ridge and Vignoble du Ruisseau (Monday and Tuesday only) propose some delicious cheese and charcuterie platters.
If you prefer a warm meal, you’ll be well served at the Bistro on embers and the gourmet dinners prepared at the Vignoble du Ruisseau. You’ll also love the Gagliano Vineyard’s pizza baked in a wood-burning oven, the Vignoble de l’Orpailleur’s restaurant Le Tire-Bouchon, and the country-type meals “De la ferme à la vigne” du Château Sainte-Agnès.
Guided Visits and Activities
For those who wish to enhance their wine tasting outing, Domaine du Ridge, Domaine Girouard, La Belle Alliance, Vignoble du Ruisseau, Léon Courville, vigneron, Val Caudalies, Vignoble Clos Ste-Croix, Vignoble de la Bauge, Domaine ValBrome, Vignoble de l’Orpailleur, Vignoble Gagliano and Union Libre cidres & vins all offer guided visits upon reservation.
Every autumn during grape harvesting time, the Domaine du Ridge in Saint-Armand invites women to participate in the traditional wine-treading event. The activity is carried out in a festive ambiance and includes all the rosé you want! Contact the vineyard for more information. You can also participate in grape harvesting activities so emblematic to viticulture Léon Courville, vigneron, and at the vineyard of the Domaine Bresee.
The Vignoble de l’Orpailleur in Dunham proposes a visit hosted and accompanied by a guide during which along with tasting their cuvées and learning about wine history, viticulture and winemaking, you’ll be given a lesson in the rudiments surrounding the tradition of sabring a bottle of wine. One of you will even have the chance to try their hand at sabring a bottle!
Finally, your children will certainly be delighted to visit the Vignoble de la Bauge’s animal park.
Traktour’s Guided Excursions
Immerse yourself in the heart of the birthplace of Québec viticulture on this guided excursion along the Route des vins offered by Traktour. Over the course of the day, you’ll visit three exceptional vineyards, where you’ll discover the talents of local winemakers while savouring the fruits of their passionate labour.

Private Wine Tours
Kikico offers exclusive private tours of the most beautiful vineyards and cider houses in Québec’s Eastern Townships. These tours include visits to Québec’s pioneering vineyards in the Dunham region, as well as private tastings accompanied by a sommelier guide. You’ll also enjoy scenic drives through orchards and mountains, passing through the picturesque village of Frelighsburg (town renowned for its ice cider heritage). For groups of 2 to 8 people. Strolls and Art in the Vineyards
In Dunham, the Val Caudalies vineyard offers 5 kilometres of trails where you can admire the Green Mountain Range as well as Pinacle Mountain! For a unique experience, head out here while the apple trees are in full bloom during the spring or during the grape veraison period. Still in Dunham, the l’Orpailleur Vineyard invites visitors to take the very interesting and lovely outdoor interpretation trail and the Vignoble Clos Ste-Croix also invites visitors to head out on their vineyard trails. A ballad is also a must at the Domaine des Côtes d’Ardoise vineyard where every year more than a hundred works of art are exhibited in all four corners of the estate.
