This 60 km circuit begins at the Centre de la nature de Cowanville
As the road unfolds in front of you, you will discover a landscape where agriculture and wine production intertwine. Here you will come across two vineyards. The high point of this circuit is on Magenta Ouest Road, which follows the Yamaska River for several kilometers.
Take the time to relax by stopping halfway through the circuit at Conrad-Blain Park in Farnham and to admire Saint-Romuald Church. Inside, don’t miss the paintings by famous artist, Ozias Leduc. This circuit has very few elevations and therefore offers a pleasant ride for cyclists. Please note there is a 5 km portion of this route that is unpaved.
First stop
Vignoble Bromont Auberge & Boutique
Located in the south-western valley of the Bromont mountains, this vineyard has been producing quality, sustainable wines since 2008. You’ll enjoy red, rosé and white wines with an authentic Québécois taste, unfiltered and produced in the most natural way possible. Several packages are available, including one with a picnic basket.
Second stop
Farnham
Bordering the Saint-Lawrence lowlands, Farnham is located in the basin region of the Yamaska River, of which three branches merge on the territory. Its name derives from the Old English word Feornham meaning fearn habitat, or wetlands where ferns grow. Here you’ll discover an inviting downtown sector, the Farnham Ale & Lager microbrewery, a public market every Saturday starting in June and ending in September, and the Fromagerie des Cantons cheesemakers.
Third stop
Le Vignoble de la Bauge
Vignoble de la Bauge
The Naud family has been growing vines at Brigham for 30 years, and today the founder’s son, Simon, is at the helm of this organic estate. Book a guided tour, take advantage of the lovely terrace to sample local food and wine pairings with homemade terrines and charcuterie, local cheeses and chocolates, and say hello to the residents in the animal park.
