The Stretch, Bromont, Brigham, Cowansville
With its proximity to the Autoroute and its access to the Estriade trail, water park, mountain biking, golf and winter skiing, the town of Bromont attracts families…and sports enthusiasts! And there’s very few that don’t give themselves an added treat by stopping by the Chocolate Museum. A moment of relaxation in one of the magnificent spas or a cultural tour of the Cowansville Museum are also among the array of interesting things to do during your vineyard visits.
First Stop
Domaine du P’tit Bonheur is a true peaceful haven welcoming you to their family-run vineyard. Bernard and Chantal, the passionate new owners, are presently transitioning towards organic production methods. Therefore, their wines are created with the utmost respect for nature, giving the terroir plenty of room to express itself. Their “From the Earth to the Glass” package includes a complete experience: a guided walk through the vines, a tour of their production spaces and a tasting session accompanied by local treats to truly immerse yourself in the world of wine.
Second Stop
Vignoble de la Bauge
The Naud family has been growing grapevines in Brigham for 30 years and it’s now the founder’s son, Simon, who runs the estate. Book a guided tour, take advantage of the beautiful terrace where you’ll enjoy local food and wine pairings with homemade terrines and charcuteries, local cheeses and chocolates. Then, stop by the animal park to say hello to the residents.
Third Stop
Located in the south-western valley of the Bromont mountains, this vineyard has been producing quality, sustainable wines since 2008. You’ll enjoy red, rosé and white wines with an authentic Québécois taste, unfiltered and produced in the most natural way possible. Several packages are available, including one with a picnic basket.
First Stop
Nestled on the slopes of Mount Brome, this vineyard overlooks Brome Lake Valley with its breathtaking views. Taste their wines while relaxing on the terrace, enjoy the picnic area for a lunch break or take a guided tour. These are just some of the options for enjoying the beauty of the site.
Second Stop
Located high atop the glens between Bromont and Brome Lake, Domaine ValBrome came into being at the end of 2017. Since their first cider production in 2019 using their crisp apples, they’ve developed a wide range of products, including specialty apple ciders such as Kingston Black and Bulmer’s Norman. With 21,000 vines planted (Vidal, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer), the estate now produces six wines to enjoy on the terrace overlooking the orchard.
Third Stop
In Shefford, this small, family-owned vineyard and boutique wine cellar works from the field to the bottle to present quality products with plenty of stories to tell. The rocky soil composition of the region (schist, green and black slate and sandstone) creates the rich and distinctive terroir that is honoured in each of the vineyard’s cuvées.
