First Stop
Since July 2025, Pierre and Gabrielle have taken over Clos Saragnat, a pioneer of natural cider in Quebec. True to the estate’s heritage, they will continue their low-intervention methods, both in the cellar and in the vineyards and orchards. Working with indigenous yeasts and spontaneous fermentations remains central to their approach, preserving the expression and character of the fruit. Clos Saragnat will thus continue to produce dry, bitter, and sweet ciders, as well as ice cider and wines, with respect for nature and the terroir.
Second Stop
Cidre Choinière
This cidery crafts farmhouse ciders with a simple approach that lets the terroir shine through. Native yeasts, natural bottle fermentation, and authentic flavours that vary from vintage to vintage. The boutique and terrace offer the perfect setting for a well-deserved tasting break.

Pause au village de Frelighsburg. Suggestions d'arrêts :
A picturesque village on the American border, surrounded by orchards and traced by the Rivière aux Brochets, Frelighsburg nestles at the foot of Mont Pinacle, one of the last remaining wild mountains near Montreal. Cafés, restaurants, a microbrewery, cideries, a farmers’ market, a network of hiking trails, rich built heritage — there’s no shortage of reasons to linger here.
Fourth Stop
Since 1982, the Levasseur family has welcomed visitors to this enchanting site along the Rivière aux Brochets, where you can picnic and browse the farm-style boutique. Be sure to come back once your bike ride is done — if the season allows, you can even pick your own apples!
Fifth Stop
A pioneer of Quebec’s wine industry, Vignoble de l’Orpailleur is a must-visit on La Route des vins. On-site offerings include tastings, guided tours, an interpretive trail, an “économusée” dedicated to winemaking, and even a restaurant.
Sixth Stop
For your final stop, you’ll be spoiled for choice! In fact, not one, but three vineyards await you at the intersection of Chemin Godbout and Route 202. UNION LIBRE cidre & vin is directly accessible from Chemin Godbout. For Vignoble de l’Orpailleur and Vignoble Gagliano, you’ll need to cross Route 202 and walk about 100 meters along the shoulder.
