Cidre Choinière
The idea behind our farm-produced ciders is simple: to work with our own apples, let the terroir express itself and add a touch of our own personality. Indigenous yeasts, natural carbonation and authentic flavors that vary from vintage to vintage. The quality of our raw materials is the foundation of our ciders.
In addition to cultivating traditional varieties for consumption for the past forty years, we have more recently planted certain cider apple varieties. We also add wild apples, picked near our family land, to our ciders.
Stop by our boutique to chat with us, taste our different products, learn more about our production methods and leave with your favorite bottles.
Our certified organic ciders are renowned for their unique and natural farm character, which truly expresses our terroir. They are all dry, highly drinkable, and beautifully complex.
In addition to the boutique, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy our idyllic setting with a selection of food to savor on our terrace, nestled among the apple trees with a view of Mount Pinacle.
We are strategically located away from the main road, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing moment listening to the wind rustling through the leaves and letting children run freely among the apple trees.
Porcine - Farm-to-table
Located in the orchard of the Choinière cider house in Frelighsburg, our farm-to-table restaurant offers dishes prepared with ingredients from our farm. The kitchen sources the majority of its produce from vegetables grown on our land, fresh eggs from our free-range hens, and meat from our pigs, chickens, and cows raised on our pastures. The goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible in order to offer ingredients of the highest quality in terms of taste, nutrition, and environmental impact.
The welcome is simple and warm. You can come for an aperitif and discover our homemade charcuterie platter or share a delicious meal. We offer a set menu of several dishes, which changes weekly depending on the harvest. Everything takes place in a friendly and family atmosphere, where children and leashed pets are welcome.
Although all the tables are outdoors, part of the terrace is covered in case of bad weather.
Finally, those who wish to buy locally will have the option of purchasing frozen meat to take away.
Reservations required.
